Elite Level Hockey Skills with Coach Barry Dreger
Offensive Checking w/ Purpose and Defensive Side of Puck Principles

Coach Barry Dreger will be hosting invite skills development skates for players 13 and older. All sessions will address body contact, checking with purpose, skating to support, defensive side of puck principles and general skill development. Clinics will be high paced but will stress quality over quantity, with an emphasis on teaching. Old School teaching of new school principles will offer participants correction and instruction of next level techniques and principles. Prep and college age players will be on ice to assist and demonstrate skills and techniques.
SAMPLE CLINIC SCHEDULE
8am - Arrival and Locker Room Assignment
8:40 am - Introduction / Chalk Talk / "Practice Plan"

9am - On Ice / Warmup -->
Skating and General Skill Development --> Body Contact, Checking With Purpose --> Competition Drills

About Coach Dreger:
Coach Dreger is a Winnipeg native who played hockey all over North America including more than a decade long stint as a pro. After his playing days ended Coach Dreger spent time behind the bench at every level from youth to professional, establishing himself as a coach who has a passion for teaching the game and who prepares players for the "next level".
